Significant events: Being a grandmother to five beautiful (and smart) grandchildren
Achievements: Being named “Executive of the Year” in Montgomery in 1995. Being the designated “ribbon cutter” to open the Alfa Child Development Center, a 2.5 million dollar state of the art early learning center for children (6 weeks to 5 years) of Alfa employees-a project I had spent 5 years researching, designing, staffing, developing curriculum and receiving financing and land from the Board of Directors-the first major employer to offer this as an employee benefit to employees. We opened to center December 16, 1990.
Your “Last Will and Testament” in 1955 was “I, Marcia Jean Peacock, will my quick temper and mean looks to Neysa Jones.”
Comments: I’m so tolerant and mild mannered now! I just want to stick around to watch my grandchildren develop and grow up. And travel some.
Your class prophecy was “Marcia Jean Peacock has devoted her life to being the private secretary of a certain chiropractor, in New York.”
Comments: No – I was secretary to former U.S. Senator, David Grambrell, in early 60’s and 70’s – Moved to Montgomery and have been Human Resources since then (until retirement)
