January 8, 2013--James Colson
& James Loyd, both of the Class of 1953, & Annie Lou (Barnett) Jessup, Class of 1946, passed away in recent days. See Obituaries.
2012 Reunion-On Saturday night, August 11, 2012, 132 classmates and guests descended on the Eastman Conference Center for the FINAL(???) All Eastman High School Reunion. There was no formal program but everyone was encouraged to mix and mingle and enjoy fellowship with each other.

Dr. Don Parkerson - though in ill health and feeling badly - was present and offered his book REMEMBERING EASTMAN HIGH SCHOOL for sale. Approximately 75 books were sold that night and another 50 or so were sold at a book signing at Coleman Hardware Friday afternoon. Books can be ordered by calling Don or Marilyn at 706-484-0041. They can also be purchased at Coleman Gift and Framing (formally Coleman Hardware) The price is $29.00 plus sales tax and shipping cost (if applicable). 2010 Reunion
The Eighth Eastman High School Reunion held April 30- May 1, 2010 was a great success! One hundred seventeen (117) classmates and guests attended the Saturday night Awards Banquet at the Eastman Middle School lunchroom. Many came from long distances such as Colorado, Pennsylvania, and south Florida to fellowship again with their classmates from long ago.
The 2010 Hall of Fame Inductees consists of the following:

Jacquelyn Mullis Freeney
Robert Guyton Graham-Robert graduated from Eastman High School in 1955.He transferred to EHS from Dodge High, but left prior to his graduation to join the Army. In 1953, he was awarded the Presidential Citation from President Dwight David Eisenhower for his heroism in Korea. After the war, he returned to Eastman High School to continue his formal education. At EHS, he was a good academic student and participated in all sports, excelling in football and baseball. Upon graduation from high school, he attended Middle Georgia College and then on to the University of Georgia. During Robert’s career he worked in the Insurance Business and in the building industry, attaining managerial status in both. At one time, he owned his own construction company. Throughout his life, Robert, has continued to enjoy athletic activities, now focusing on golf rather than the contact sports. He retired in 1991 and continues to live in Augusta, GA, with his wife of 53 years, Lee Carolyn Gibbs from Rochelle.

Bartow David Parkerson, D.D.S.
Don Newton Parkerson, D.C.-Don graduated from Eastman High School in 1955. He then served a tour of duty in the U. S. Navy. Following his tour in the Navy, Don attended the University of Georgia and attained a B.S. Degree in Education. He taught biology and coached in four Georgia high schools before making a career change. He attended Palmer College and received a Doctorate in Chiropractic degree, he did post graduate studies in Orthopedics. Dr. Parkerson built a very successful practice over a period of 33 years with a large patient base which included high school, college, and professional athletes. Through the years, Don has served in civic, community and professional organizations. He was president of many of these organizations and on the local level, served eight terms as president of the Dodge County Booster Club. Don was the creator and organizer of the All-Eastman High School Reunions which began in 1996 and have continued. Don and his wife Marilyn are in their 50th year of marriage. Both are retired and live on Lake Oconee. They have two children and three grandchildren.

There were many highlights, but one of special notation was the distribution of monogrammed EHS caps, shirts, sweaters, & visors and many pictures (some of which were colorized) by Robert Graham- Class of 1955. Another highlight was pictures taken by Hubert & Robbin Evans which have been posted on youtube for all to see.
